Description
The Winchester 1892 is an ultimate classic lever action. Several varieties of the 1892 exist and this is one of the more sought after varieties – the TRAPPER’S CARBINE. Note: Winchester never used the term “Trapper” carbine. This one in particular was manufactured in 1911 and has since been re-blued and polished. While the saddle ring has unfortunately been removed this 1892 has all the correct stamping. With the exception of the rear sights it is all original. The wood is all original and does show wear however this variation is almost never encountered over 30% condition – most are brown guns. These rifles in excellent condition are valued in the $12,000+ range.
