Highly Collectible West German Walther PPK/S – .380 ACP
Born out of necessity and instantly becoming an icon, the Walther PPK/S was developed in 1968 to meet the import requirements of the US Gun Control Act. By marrying the slightly longer grip frame of the Walther PP with the short, concealable slide and barrel of the famous PPK, Walther created a perfectly balanced pistol that offers a superior grip and an extra round of capacity without sacrificing its legendary sleek profile.
This specific pistol is a highly coveted early production model manufactured at the Carl Walther plant in Ulm, West Germany, before production was fully licensed to the United States. Bearing the iconic “Ulm/Do.” stampings and West German proof marks, this PPK/S features the spectacular, deep high-polish bluing that early European Walthers are famous for. Whether you are an enthusiast of Cold War-era firearms, a die-hard James Bond fan, or simply seeking an incredibly elegant concealed carry piece, this West German PPK/S is a blue-chip addition to any safe.

Condition Report
This West German PPK/S is a beautiful, previously owned survivor. It has been carried lightly and cared for diligently, maintaining excellent mechanical function and stunning aesthetics.
-
Finish: Retains approximately 90-95% of its original high-polish factory bluing. There is typical, faint holster wear (silvering) at the very tip of the muzzle and along the sharp leading edges of the slide. You may find minor surface handling marks on the front strap of the grip frame, but there is absolutely no deep rust or pitting. The German proof marks and “Made in W. Germany” roll marks are sharp and crisp.
-
Bore: Excellent. The fixed barrel features a brilliantly bright bore with sharp rifling, showing no signs of neglect or heavy use.
-
Grips: The factory black polymer grips are in great shape. The checkering remains sharp, and there are no cracks, splits, or overt signs of shrinkage (a common issue with older Walther grips).
-
Mechanics: The DA/SA action is flawlessly smooth. The slide-mounted decocker functions exactly as designed, safely dropping the hammer when engaged. The slide-stop engages positively on an empty magazine, and the trigger breaks cleanly.
