Condition Report

This Model 700 is a previously owned, well-maintained hunting rifle. It shows honest signs of light field use but remains in very good to excellent overall condition.

• Finish: Retains approximately 90-95% of its original high-polish factory bluing. The receiver and barrel are clean and dark, with minor finish wear on the bolt knob and the sharp edges of the hinged floorplate from standard carrying and handling. Absolutely no rust or pitting.

• Bore: Excellent. The bore is remarkably bright and reflective with strong, sharp rifling. It shows no signs of throat erosion or heavy neglect.

• Wood: The high-gloss walnut stock is in very good shape. There is 1 chip in the wood on the left side of the stock which is shown in the provided pictures.

• Mechanics: The legendary 700 bolt operates with glass-like smoothness and locks up like a bank vault. Important Safety Note: The trigger has been adjusted to an absolute “hair trigger.” It breaks exceptionally cleanly with minimal effort, making it ideal for precision bench or bipod shooting, but the buyer must exercise extreme care and strict trigger discipline at all times.
